At SESP, the only language of instruction is English. In the first year of our trainees’ programme, the focus is on developing English proficiency to the level required not only for successful programme completion, but also for integrating into a multicultural workplace, where understanding the international language is key. Achieving this aim requires an eclectic approach from our English faculty, incorporating a variety of pedagogical methodologies. All trainers on the English faculty are native speakers holding degrees and certifications granted by western universities and have a minimum of five years’ teaching experience.

Upon completion of their training programme, each and every trainee will have become highly specialised in their individual discipline. Naturally, this degree of specialisation is reflected in our technical faculty, which is comprised of experienced experts, highly qualified in various fields of the power utility industry. We have experts in the fields of:

• Power Plant Operation (PPO)
• Power Plant Mechanical Maintenance (PPM)
• Power Plant Electrical Maintenance (PPE),
• Instrumentation and Control (INC)
• Substation Electrical Maintenance (SSM)
• Electrical Network Operation (NWO)
• Power System Protection and Control (PSP)
• Electric Power Cables (EPC)
• Overhead Line Maintenance (OHL)
• Electrical Distribution Network Maintenance (EDM)
