King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy Signs Memorandum of Understanding with SESP

King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy signed in Riyadh a memorandum of understanding and partnership with SESP, which includes cooperation in all fields of training and development in the fields of renewable energy and benefiting from the existing capabilities and expertise of both parties. The agreement was signed by the President of the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, Dr. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Sultan, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SESP.

King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy is looking forward to achieving the Kingdom’s ambitious goals in the field of renewable energy and developing national human capacities to enable it to contribute effectively within the renewable energy projects which are considered to be the most important elements of this sector. The Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources announced the Kingdom’s goal of introducing 27 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2024. The introduction of an estimated 58 gigawatts of renewable energy by Or 2030 in order to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and to adopt the diversity of the Kingdom on the different energy sources.

Sultan pointed out that the signing of the memorandum of understanding aims to develop national competencies and localization of technologies, which the city is keen to implement in all its programs, to achieve the objectives of the National Transition Program 2020 and the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
