As a non-profit polytechnic, SESP strive to engage in collaborative

As a non-profit polytechnic, SESP strive to engage in collaborative partnerships for the mutual benefit of all involved. Being one of first providers of native English-speaking instructors from one Saudi educational institution to another, and having worked together with individuals, private companies and public entities, there is no challenge too big or small for SESP.

Some of our successful collaborations are:

Solb Steel Company (SSC)

Solb Steel Company (SSC), a very well established steel manufacturing plant, was established in 2008 and is located in Jizan Economic City.

Solb Steel has a partnership with Qatar steel company. SSC is using the latest technology in Saudi Arabia in Steel process and was approved to supply Major  projects like Mekka expansion projects, Madina expansion project, Kingdom Tower, King Abdul Aziz Airport “Jeddah”, Metro Project in Riyadh and many more.

Like many Saudi companies, Solb Steel has looked both within the Kingdom and beyond to source the personnel it requires to achieve its goals. Since not all of the employees at Solb Steel are Saudi nationals, Arabic is not the language of communication for many day-to-day interactions between staff. Security guards, technicians, equipment operators, office workers, engineers and nurses all need to be able to communicate confidently in English. Having identified the need for improved English proficiency among its Saudi employees, Solb Steel turned to SESP to develop English language programs tailored to their specific needs. Through a process of meeting with key figures at Solb Steel, such as managers of the relevant departments, SESP was able to keep the client’s unique needs at the forefront when designing programs to go beyond their expectations. In September 2014, the first groups of Solb Steel employees arrived at SESP and the partnership has continued ever since. With separate programs for beginners and intermediate learners, the degree of technical and industry-specific language incorporated varies depending on the level of the program participants.

Solb Steel Company was looking for a training center that cares, and are experts in delivering highly efficient English language training for their employees.

We found that SESP Training center is the only one who will take care of this training, why not and they have professional instructors with long experience to train SSC employees with high professionalism and I’m happy to see this training has reflected positively on our staff communication skills since we started this training at SESP in 2014.

In 2015, SESP and Jazan University/Baish Community College signed a partnership agreement to train and develop BCC preparatory year students in English, Mathematics and Physics. SESP provides BCC with the highly-qualified instructors they need to meet their training goals.

Since these beginnings, SESP has continued to work hand in hand with BCC in the provision of preparatory programs and identification of quality systems with built in system auditing to ensure the college remains in line with its accreditation goals.

With the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Chairman of the Council of Education, may God protect him, Baish Community College was established with government support. BCC aim to educate the youth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to support the national economy. The college is located in the Governorate of Baish, where approximately 100 billion riyals is being invested in Jazan Economic City (JEC). JEC contains several industrial mills, such as the Jazan refinery, the Solb Steel plant, and the Crystal factory for titanium. One of the main benefits associated with the creation of JEC is the creation of career opportunities for young Saudis.
